Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Prov, Feb 9 - A Hamas official said that the triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran has inspired the Palestinian people to end occupation of their territories by Israel.The Hamas representative in Tehran Abu Osama Abd al-Muati stressed that the victory of the oppressed Palestinian people vis-a-vis atrocity of the Zionists during the Israeli 22-day aggression on Gaza is among the achievements of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Al-Muati, who spent about three decades of his life in the captivity of the Zionist regime, further appreciated the support of the Iranian nation and government for the Palestinian resistance movement, saying, “The Iranian Leadership, government and nation have always been great supporter for the Palestinian people and their holy aspiration.”
Referring to efforts made by the US Administration to negotiate with the Iranian officials, he said such a move by the US is also an achievement of the Islamic Revolution.
As to the hostility of Washington towards Muslims, he said the more such enmity are, the more consolidated the unity of Muslims will be.
